Well, my birthday is just a few days away now and Chris has made reservations for us as a restaurant in Lake Geneva that comes HIGHLY recommended. Childcare is taken care of so it's all set, right?
No way am I going to spend $100 just to say we went out to dinner on my birthday! I have had Chris cancel the reservation because I know that that $100 will cover groceries for the whole family for a week, not just one meal for the two of us! So instead we are going to have a quiet evening without the kids and watch a movie together. I mean, really, that's what it's all about anyway - spending time alone with Chris. I will say that I'll miss my boys, though, and we'll probably end up picking them up earlier than 9pm when the childcare ends. When it comes down to it, there is no better way to spend my birthday that with my precious little family!

Hey! Thanks for asking about my blog and the question you had. I was going to email you, but I only usually do one 'long run' during the week and it's only when it's truly necessary. I am not a morning person and I cannot imagine having kids and having to work around them too! :) I usually get up at 5:00 am and take off and just go until it's done. Then I usually also wear my hair curly to work that day or wear a hat. Kind of silly but true. Hope that helps. :) Glad you are a runner and you will for sure get back into it after your baby!!!
